Spelling makes difference, a bad spelling can create the image that you are not educated enough.
- To be able to spell a short vowel sound, only one letter is required:

- In order to spell a log sound, a second vowel must be added. The second vowel can be next to the first one (coat, sue, rain, etc.) or it can be separated from the first vowel by a consonant. (take, tide, rate, bite, etc.)
- You can spell the sound “k” in these four ways:

- No English word ends with the letter “v”. If you hear the sound “v”, it is always spelled with “ve”.

- To form the plural of the words ending with “o” always take “es” after itself.
